About Green Sweep
Green Sweep was founded in 2010 by Art & Richard, both consumate professionals in their respective trades. With over 50 years experience between them, Art and Richard conceived an all green, detachable sweeper to fill the void.
Running a family business often means learning every facet of an industry, every nut and bolt, personally. That’s exactly the case with Art. Since the mid-1970s, Art has been working with electric carts and has become an expert in electric motors, battery technology, controllers, wiring, metal and mechanical fabrication and more. Today, Art runs the family’s electric cart business and has taken the hands-on knowledge and skills he has acquired over the past four decades to create the most dynamic, efficient and environmentally sensitive mobile sweeper, trash hauler and power source ever created—the Green Sweep.
Richard has made an entire career out of problem solving. He is an extremely gifted mechanical and fabrication expert with over 40 years’ experience maintaining, repairing and prolonging the useful life of hundreds of vehicles and mechanical equipment. Some of the industrial vehicles under his care log over 750,000 miles. Working primarily for school districts, Richard has a deep understanding of the type of equipment required to maintain school property. His input in designing and developing the Green Sweep has helped create a new class of maintenance power tool—one designed for high performance, long life and ease of care.
